What apple has proposed could be one of, if not the worst, technical systems ever devised. For a company who markets on their privacy safeguards in their products, this solution would erode all privacy for all users of their products. Apple just opened pandora’s box, and governments from around the world now know the technology exists or some oppressive government forced them to create this tech in the first place.
